Our tips & tricks for a seamless move
Our tips & tricks for a seamless move
Our team has great knowledge and experience when it comes to relocation, and we take every detail and aspect into consideration.
5 of the best moving tips
1. Plan. Plan. Plan. The more time you give yourself to understand your needs - from the furniture you want to donate to how you want your new closet set up — the better prepared everyone can be. While last-minute relocations are certainly possible, clients who allow themselves weeks or months to prepare for changing homes are often the most at ease. If you know you’re going to be moving, don’t hide from it. Call an expert.
2. Be realistic with your timeline. Often, homeowners think that moving house only takes a day. However, that’s not likely - if you want your belongings to be handled carefully, it’s more realistic to anticipate a multi-day project. While this may sound like your move will become a larger inconvenience, what it allows is for your relocation firm to spend the necessary time protecting, handling, and loading your belongings. Nobody likes a 16-hour day (let alone a 22-hour day) and asking your relocation team to work after the sun goes down is only going to encourage avoidable accidents. So, when planning the timeline for your move, anticipate several days for your project to be carried out smoothly. Depending on the size of your home, anywhere from 3-7 days is sensible.
3. Declutter. Changing homes is the perfect time to sort through your family’s belongings and choose only the items you want to include in your new place. It might be the perfect time to finally part ways with your grandmother’s neighbor’s cousin’s patterned china that you’ve been carting around for the last three moves. By letting go of the items you no longer use or those that do not bring you joy, you can start a routine in your new home that’s free of unnecessary possessions.
4. Invest in an organizer. Your new home is your new haven, so treat it as such. Working with a relocation consultant can help you make smart spaces in your house, from closets and cupboards to drawers and racks. Kitchens, closets, garages, and basements often benefit the most from “organization architecture” that can include labeling, guides, and dividers. That way your clothing, dishes and decor aren’t just put away - they’re organized, accessible and attractive.
5. Get out of your own way. Playing traffic cop on moving day isn’t fun. Neither is trying to sort through items to discard while you have a team of associates working to efficiently pack your home. If done correctly, relocating should actually remove you from the process. That’s because a good relocation team executes your instructions without the need for you to be physically involved. That way, you and your family do not have to live among the organized chaos that transpires when packing and relocating your belongings.

Education in Los Cabos
It’s no secret that Los Cabos offers its residents an amazing quality of life. While some may consider Los Cabos to predominately be a vacation destination, families and individuals are increasingly choosing to make Los Cabos their permanent residence due to the multitude of benefits it offers, such as its excellent academic offerings.
Academic institutions are predominantly bilingual in Los Cabos, helping children to master two or more languages. The Secretaría de Educación Pública is a federal government authority that helps to regulate and improve education systems in Mexico and has provided increasing stability to educational systems in Los Cabos.
Education systems
Pre-primary, which is typically privately funded, begins from the age of 3 and helps prepare children for elementary school. Elementary school, which is mandatory, welcomes students aged 6-12. Finally, high school enrolls students aged 13 to 17.
Homeschooling is legal in Mexico so parents may consider private tuition as a schooling option.
Higher education
Higher education (university) is usually started at the age of 17-18. But there aren’t many options in Los Cabos. A good option is the state university at La Paz, which has a fantastic marine biology program. For other programs, people with the means often choose to send their children elsewhere to study, such as mainland Mexico or the US.

Medical care in Los Cabos
Whether you are considering relocating to Los Cabos permanently or are looking to secure an exclusive vacation or investment property, it is essential to be familiar with your local medical care facilities.
Medical facilities in Los Cabos
There is a wide range of medical facilities in Los Cabos, many offering 24-hour care. Specialisms include but are not limited to cardiology, orthopedics, intensive therapy, and dermatology.
Many new residents to Los Cabos are pleased to discover that healthcare in Mexico is significantly cheaper than in the United States. This is due to the fact that there are higher malpractice insurance costs for hospitals in the US, and many institutions in Mexico are able to negotiate lower costs with insurance providers. This allows patients in Los Cabos to access healthcare that is to the same standard as the US with significantly lower costs.
Specialist treatments and care
In addition to being able to provide care in emergencies, Los Cabos is home to numerous facilities that can support ongoing treatment plans and existing healthcare conditions. For example, the variety of medical services you can find in Los Cabos includes physical therapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic care. There are also a range of facilities that provide holistic care.

Connections you can trust: Magazine partners
Connections you can trust
Buying, selling, or relocating is a complex process. While it can be difficult, and even overwhelming at times, we believe it is one of life’s most exciting adventures. When handled well and by those with great local knowledge and expertise, this process becomes an enjoyable experience that sets you up for your next chapter.
We all need a base—an anchor—somewhere to truly call our own. These days, the home might not solely be a place of refuge, but also of work. With more time spent in the home than ever before, our home should provide for our everyday needs, and be a reflection of the home we desire. Achieving this is no small feat.
The good news is you are halfway there! If you are reading this, then you have already chosen to work with a leader in the luxury real estate market who can guide you with unparalleled expertise through the many stages of the home buying and selling process.
However, buying a home doesn’t end with picking up your keys, just as selling a home doesn’t end with packing up your possessions. These are just the first steps in a lengthy process. But don’t worry, whether you are buying, selling, or relocating, you don’t have to do all the work yourself – there are people on hand to support you throughout this experience.
Others seek legal services or those of a lender to aid the financial and legal side of the process. And for those who are relocating to an unfamiliar location, it’s often guidance on the great local schools and health and medical centers that are an important factor in choosing an area to call home. Whatever it is you require, you want to feel confident that the individuals supporting you are trustworthy professionals, able to offer you invaluable expertise. This is the beginning of a new adventure, and you don’t want to feel any disappointment or frustration at the hands of an unreliable contractor or service provider. We understand that your time and money are of utmost value, and where possible, you need to get it right first time. Working with the carefully selected businesses and services listed within this magazine should mean avoiding the pitfalls of choosing the wrong people for the job. Conversations have been had at many levels with every business featured in this publication, and they feature here because it is considered that these companies will provide premium products and invaluable services. As a client of a great real estate company, we firmly believe that you shouldn’t have to depend on an internet search to connect with industry professionals who are best placed to provide you with the products or services you need right now. We think you deserve something more refined than that. We hope this magazine helps you find your perfect partners to ensure the smooth and enjoyable journey that you so thoroughly deserve and which we want to be stress-free. We wish you the very best as you embark on this exciting next step! That’s where the Magazine comes in. Through a desire to support and connect people, Greydoor Publishing and the Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty team have designed this publication to share details on local companies that are well placed to serve your needs and requirements when buying, selling, or relocating. These companies are known to the real estate team you have been dealing with and have also become known to us at Greydoor Publishing, through the many conversations we have had with them, discussing exactly how they can help you to make your dreams for your new home become a reality. Every experience is unique, so every real estate client requires a specific set of services throughout their journey. For some, it’s an architect or interior designer to transform their new property. A great architect or interior designer can be an integral part of the decision-making process when looking to buy a new property.

We thank all our advertising partners for taking this opportunity to showcase their products and services within this magazine. We are thrilled that your feature is reaching a wonderful audience of real estate clients who are likely to need your services and who are ready to make serious spending decisions that will support and strengthen their experience of buying, selling, or relocating within your local area.

Los Cabos at a glance
Climate
With around 350 days of spectacular sunshine each year, the Los Cabos climate is one of the region’s highlights. The perfect place for homeowners looking for an idyllic tropical lifestyle, Los Cabos’ warm temperatures and low humidity make it an ideal destination for snowbirds and year-round residents alike.
Stunning scenery
Los Cabos is well known for breathtaking natural landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. Situated at the southernmost tip of Baja California Sur, the pristine beaches and magnificent aquamarine waters offer a striking contrast to the region’s arid desert backdrop, creating dramatic vistas nearly everywhere you look.
Alluring amenities
Widely considered one of the most exclusive destinations in all of Latin America, it should come as no surprise that Los Cabos is brimming with a vast array of alluring world-class amenities. Between the unparalleled championship golf courses, state-of-the-art spas, unique outdoor experiences, and one of the region’s most renowned culinary scenes, there are exciting high-end opportunities awaiting homeowners with a wide range of interests.
Local economy
Built upon a rich variety of industries, innovative craftsmanship, and a bursting entrepreneurial spirit, Los Cabos has a diverse local economy. A hub of economic activity, the tourism industry lies at the heart of this thriving region, with resorts, restaurants, and recreational activities playing a key role.
Diverse real estate market

These are helping to create a thriving educational community within the region.
Los Cabos living: A buyer’s guide
Residing in Mexico
For international buyers, it is important to become familiar with residency rules and financial aspects of the home-buying process. The following information will introduce you to some of the key factors to consider as you embark on your real estate journey in Los Cabos.
Temporary resident visa
A wonderful option for homeowners looking to explore the country and enjoy its wonderful gifts for a bit longer than 180 days (as granted by the Forma Migratoria Multiple) is the Temporary Resident Visa. Allowing you to remain in the country for up to four years, a temporary residency can easily be obtained through several avenues, including family unity or local real estate investment, among others.
Permanent resident card
For those buyers interested in more of a long-term commitment, a permanent resident card may be the perfect solution. Ideal for retirees and investors who can easily demonstrate a significant, consistent income or substantial savings, this particular visa will allow you to stay in the country indefinitely.
Mortgages
While there are mortgage opportunities available to international buyers, the terms of these loans may differ significantly from your home country. Consulting with your real estate agent, as well as multiple mortgage brokers, will be the best way to ensure you’ve found a reliable offer that works for you. Make sure you have all the necessary documentation with you, including identification and proof of income.
Secure transactions
To ensure a secure transaction, buyers typically will not wish to release funds until after the conditions of the sale have been fulfilled. By working with a third-party escrow service, you can rest assured that your funds will be safeguarded until the transfer of property rights is complete.

To ensure a secure and lawful Los Cabos real estate transaction, there are several legal considerations you will also have to keep in mind.
Fideicomiso (bank trust)
After the formation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Mexican Government recognized that making foreign investment safer and more accessible for international buyers was of prime importance. Unfortunately, several constitutional limitations make it difficult for non-Mexicans to own real estate within specific distances from the coast and border. Luckily, to address this issue, Mexico created a safe and secure method of ownership through a “fideicomiso,” or Mexican property trust, which helps grant the purchaser full ownership rights regardless of their residency status.
Notario Publico
In Mexico, all real estate transactions are required to be formalized by a Notario Publico. Appointed by a state governor, these are high-ranking legal professionals who are entrusted with numerous significant responsibilities, including verifying property titles, overseeing the closing process, and providing protection for both the buyer and seller throughout the real estate purchasing process. Keep in mind that engaging a Notario Publico is required by Mexican law for all real estate transactions, and skipping this step could lead to serious legal ramifications and put your investment at risk.
Your Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty agent, alongside local financial and legal firms, is on hand to assist you throughout the exciting process of buying property in Los Cabos. With the support of these local experts, step into the real estate adventure of a lifetime and begin your search for the luxury home you’ve always dreamed of.

San José del Cabo: Where art, design and place converge
San José del Cabo Where art, design, and place converge 48 SANCTUARY
At the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez, San José del Cabo has evolved into one of Mexico’s most compelling cultural destinations. Long defined by its coastline and natural landscape, the town has, in recent years, developed a quieter but deeply layered cultural identity—one shaped by contemporary art, collectible design, architecture, and an increasingly sophisticated dialogue between place, lifestyle, and experience.
At the heart of this evolution is the historic center and its Art District: a walkable urban fabric surrounding the colonial square and church, where galleries, boutiques, and restaurants exist in close proximity. Streets such as Obregón, Morelos, Guerrero, and Comonfort form an intimate cultural circuit—dense, connected, and highly curated— where exhibition spaces open directly onto the rhythm of everyday life.
Each Thursday evening from November through June, this district transforms through the San José del Cabo Art Walk. Galleries extend their hours, artists are often present in residence, and collectors, designers, and visitors move fluidly between openings, studio visits, and conversations. What emerges is not simply an event, but a recurring cultural ritual—one that has positioned San José del Cabo as a defining center for contemporary art in Los Cabos and a growing destination for art-driven tourism internationally.
A Vertical Cultural Framework
Within this environment, Art House emerges as a central architectural and cultural framework— situated at the intersection of Morelos and Obregón, directly embedded within the flow of the Art Walk and surrounded by many of the district’s most established cultural anchors.
Conceived as a multi-layered platform, Art House occupies a historic structure originally dating back to the mission period, which later evolved through multiple uses before its 2024 reimagining. Rather than erasing its architectural past, the transformation preserves its layered identity while introducing a contemporary system that connects art, design, landscape, and real estate within a single spatial framework.
Its defining gesture is vertical.
At ground level, Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty anchors the building, operating from 1A Art House and establishing a direct relationship to place, ownership, and lifestyle. Here, real estate is not positioned as a separate function, but as the foundational layer of a broader cultural environment.
On this same level, la galería unfolds alongside it, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and the lived experience of space—where collecting, inhabiting, and engaging intersect seamlessly.
Above, the structure continues into Diálogo Gallery, a platform dedicated to collectible design and spatial intelligence, extending the conversation between art, design, and the environments we inhabit. At the top level, a rooftop space extends the experience outward, hosting gatherings, exhibition openings, and cultural moments that move beyond formal presentation into social exchange.
Together, these layers create a continuous system in which real estate, art, and design are not parallel disciplines, but interdependent expressions of place.
San José del Cabo: Where art, design and place converge
la galería: Contemporary Art in Context
Located within 1A Art House, la galería operates as a contemporary exhibition space where art, architecture, and context converge. Its curatorial program focuses on emerging and mid-career artists, material-driven practices, and research-based inquiry, developed through close collaboration and sustained relationships with artists.
Rather than functioning as a conventional gallery, la galería prioritizes conceptual clarity, material intelligence, and critical engagement. Each exhibition is conceived as a focused curatorial proposition— shaped in direct response to site, architecture, and the cultural landscape of San José del Cabo.
The gallery operates at a deliberate pace, emphasizing depth over volume. Exhibitions are developed with precision and continuity, allowing each project to unfold as part of an ongoing dialogue rather than a standalone moment.
Within Art House, la galería contributes a disciplined curatorial platform where contemporary art is embedded within lived experience—offering a slower, more considered engagement with artistic practice.
A recent example of this approach is the exhibition Everything You Touch Turns Into Stone by Azul Ehrenberg, which explored the fragile threshold between ecological systems and human intervention, transforming scientific documentation into a material and sensory language.

San José del Cabo: Where art, design and place converge
Diálogo Gallery: Collectible Design and Spatial Intelligence
Above la galería, Diálogo Gallery extends the cultural framework into the realm of collectible design and inhabitation. Located at 1B Art House, it operates at the intersection of architecture, craft, and global culture.
Diálogo was founded through the convergence of three distinct but deeply aligned practices: ATRA Form Studio, DEMA Taller, and the regional work of Glenn Ehrenberg through Pisces Group Cabo and Baja Nativa. Together, they form a collaborative system rooted in authorship, material intelligence, and a shared belief that the future of luxury in Los Cabos is defined not only by architecture and real estate, but by the cultural and design intelligence that completes them.
In a region where architectural development has become increasingly ambitious and globally informed, Diálogo responds to a shift in expectation. Interiors are no longer secondary considerations—they are central to identity, narrative, and value. Collectible design becomes a structural language, shaping how space is experienced, inhabited, and understood.
Through exhibitions, commissions, and studio practice, Diálogo positions objects not as decorative elements, but as integral components of architectural thinking. Each piece is defined by material clarity, authorship, and longevity—designed to hold cultural, emotional, and physical value over time.
The result is a platform that moves fluidly between gallery, studio, and applied design practice, offering a model where collectible objects and interior environments are conceived as part of the same continuum.

San José del Cabo: Where art, design and place converge
Art Baja: Landscape as Cultural Platform
This cultural ecosystem extends beyond Art House through Art Baja, a contemporary art platform held annually across San José del Cabo, Todos Santos, and La Paz.
Unlike traditional art fairs concentrated in a single venue, Art Baja operates as a distributed program. Exhibitions, installations, and cultural events unfold across galleries, architectural sites, and natural environments, encouraging movement through landscape rather than containment within a centralized fair structure.
Founded by Zélika García and Karim Reza, and extending the legacy of Zona Maco, Art Baja translates an established international framework into a site-responsive model defined by place, rhythm, and experience. It offers a slower, more immersive encounter with contemporary art—where context becomes inseparable from the work itself.
Within San José del Cabo, Art Baja activates Art House as a key cultural node. Recent programming included the opening of la galería’s Everything You Touch Turns Into Stone, followed by a private closing gathering hosted across Art House and Diálogo Gallery, bringing together collectors, galleries, and cultural figures in a more intimate, site-specific setting.
This sequence of moments reflects a broader shift in how contemporary art is experienced in Los Cabos—moving between distributed environments and concentrated, architecturally grounded encounters.

A Converging Cultural Landscape
What defines San José del Cabo today is not a single institution, but a converging system—where art, design, architecture, landscape, and real estate operate in continuous dialogue.
The Gallery District provides the urban fabric. The Art Walk establishes rhythm and visibility. Art House introduces vertical integration and spatial continuity. la galería anchors contemporary art within curatorial rigor. Diálogo extends design into inhabitation and material culture. Art Baja expands the entire framework into the broader landscape of Baja California Sur.
At ground level, Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty establishes the foundation—connecting local expertise with a global platform and framing real estate not as an isolated market, but as part of a wider cultural and spatial narrative.
Together, these elements define a new way of understanding San José del Cabo: not only as a destination, but as a living cultural environment shaped by continuity, collaboration, and place.

Timeless trends
Creative in the Capes
Los Cabos is characterized by its extremes. Located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, it features rugged mountains and arid deserts meeting the expansive Pacific Ocean. Some visitors are attracted to Baja for off-grid adventures, while others seek luxury and sophistication.
Architecture and interior design in Los Cabos embody all of these extremes. Homes here embrace the beauty of the landscape while providing residents with unmatched comfort, and modern design features offer sustainability and security in harmony with local heritage and tradition.
Many homes are built to maximize natural lighting and airflow
Sophisticated and sustainable
Sustainability has become essential in the luxury home market in Los Cabos. Homeowners increasingly insist upon eco-friendly design practices that do not sacrifice style and sophistication, and designers are rising to the challenge. Many homes are built to maximize natural lighting and airflow, decreasing dependence on artificial heating, cooling, and lighting. Solar panels, insulated walls, low-emission windows, energy-efficient appliances, and rainwater harvesting systems all enhance efficiency. Meanwhile, desert-adaptive gardens and natural shading reduce water consumption and help the home blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Coastal-inspired interiors
Los Cabos features a landscape where desert meets ocean, influencing interior design choices. Large glass walls offer panoramic views of the coast, while earth-toned color schemes complement the desert’s golden hues. Many homes favor open-plan living areas to enhance views, natural light, and airflow, fostering a light, spacious atmosphere that complements the picturesque coastal environment beyond.
Seamless indoor-outdoor living
Embracing the outdoors is a defining feature of Baja living, and architects in Los Cabos are dismantling the divide between indoor and outdoor areas. They design homes that seamlessly integrate the interior with the exterior, enabling smooth transitions and fluid movement between the two spaces. Retractable glass walls often create seamless transitions to shaded patios, open-air lounges, outdoor kitchens, terraces, and fireplaces. This trend not only maximizes living space but also fully leverages Baja’s pleasant weather and scenic coastal views.
What the experts say.. Designing a home in Los Cabos is about more than beautiful finishes and carefully chosen furniture—it’s about creating a space that reflects the personality of the homeowner. While color palettes and materials set the stage, the art on the walls ultimately gives a home its soul. Art has the power to transform a room, adding character, narrative, and individuality that no other design element can replicate. Even when working with an interior designer, the selection of art remains deeply personal. Homeowners should feel connected to the works they live with, choosing pieces that resonate with their taste and experiences. Fortunately, Los Cabos has developed a vibrant art scene, with galleries that can help guide collectors in discovering meaningful works. With more than 23 years of experience, Galería de Ida Victoria offers art advisory services, custom commissions, professional installation, and an in-house framing studio— ensuring every piece is thoughtfully selected, beautifully presented, and perfectly at home.

Wellness-centric spaces
Los Cabos is frequently seen as a getaway for wellness and relaxation. For residents, wellness-focused features are key elements of contemporary Los Cabos homes. Home gyms, yoga studios, cold plunge pools, and meditation gardens provide opportunities to enhance physical and mental well-being at home. Many luxury residences also feature bathrooms and bedrooms designed with a spa-like atmosphere, fostering a sense of restorative calm.
Integrating smart technology
As smart home technology progresses in comfort, convenience, energy efficiency, and security, its popularity rises in Los Cabos residences. Luxury homes from the East Cape to the Golden Corridor often feature automated lighting, climate control, advanced security systems, and smart entertainment options that can be managed remotely through smartphones. The outcome provides a safe and enhanced living environment for both full-time residents and vacation homeowners.
Locally sourced natural materials
Many modern homes in Los Cabos highlight natural building materials, blending traditional Mexican architecture with contemporary style. Features like reclaimed wood beams, clay tile roofs, and hand-chiseled local stone walls create a connection to the environment. Besides enhancing rustic charm and cultural depth, these native materials improve sustainability and provide durability against the desert climate.
Minimalism meets local craftsmanship
Highlighting simplicity and practicality, minimalist design is becoming more popular in luxury homes across Los Cabos. These homes are characterized by neutral color schemes, sleek lines, and tidy, clutter-free spaces. Minimalist design allows the beauty of the home’s surroundings to take center stage, and crisp, minimalist interiors are often softened with artisanal decorative touches that spotlight Mexican craft and heritage. Elements such as locally made, handcrafted furniture, textiles, and ceramics contribute a sense of history and locality to minimalist environments.
What the experts say..
Living in Los Cabos encourages a more relaxed lifestyle, and your home setup can reflect that same laid-back pace. Starting with essential furniture such as sofas, beds, and dining tables several months ahead of your move makes the transition more seamless, especially if custom orders are needed. Whenever possible, we recommend experiencing furniture in person—sitting in a few chairs, opening drawers, and feeling fabrics firsthand. Whether selecting from in-stock pieces or planning ahead for custom designs (which typically takes 6-12 weeks), allowing yourself enough time results in lasting choices. We’re here to support you in navigating these choices with confidence.
Once your larger pieces are in place, allow the rest to unfold in its own time. Explore different showrooms, leave space for discovery, and collect only what you truly love. The most timeless homes come together gradually, guided by how you live and the pieces you connect with along the way.

Sport fishing adventures
Cabo’s sport fishing has a legendary reputation. Over a century ago, famous angler and novelist Zane Grey praised the exceptional fishing at Baja California’s southern tip. The excitement of catching trophy fish in these abundant waters remains just as strong today. Plus, there’s no off-season—big fish can be caught here any time of the year.
The region is renowned for its billfish, especially its striped marlin. Cabo proudly bears the nickname “Marlin Capital of the World” due to its excellent striped marlin fishing, primarily in deep offshore waters from late winter until spring. In addition to marlin, anglers can target species like black marlin, blue marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado, and roosterfish. Many local charter services offer trips to these prime fishing locations.
World-class golf courses
With its arid climate and majestic coastal views, Los Cabos provides the perfect setting for a remarkable golf trip. Approximately 20 golf courses are scattered across the Baja Peninsula, with the majority in and around Los Cabos.
The area features enchanting courses created by renowned designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, and Greg Norman. Golf clubs in Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo offer challenging, memorable experiences for both emerging and seasoned players. Notable locations include Cabo del Sol — listed by Golf Magazine among the top 100 courses worldwide — and Quivira Golf Club, which offers breathtaking Pacific Ocean vistas from towering cliffs.

Snorkeling and diving
Clear waters and rich marine life make Los Cabos an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving. The Sea of Cortez, once a preferred research site for the legendary Jacques Cousteau, offers a surreal underwater world of coral reefs, caves, and shipwrecks that continues to attract adventurous explorers. One of the best places to snorkel and scuba dive near Los Cabos is Cabo Pulmo National Park, which has been nicknamed “The Aquarium of the World.” A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, this marine park is home to one of North America’s largest coral reefs and serves as a refuge for five species of endangered sea turtles. Local outfitters offer guided trips, including diving and sea kayaking, in Cabo Pulmo.
Hiking and mountain biking
The landscape of Los Cabos, featuring deserts, mountains, and canyons, is as captivating as the ocean and provides numerous adventure options. One of the top hikes close to Cabo is Fox Canyon, where a winding trail leads explorers through rugged canyon walls and groves of ancient cacti to a natural swimming spot located beneath Sol de Mayo Waterfall. For a tougher trek, extend your journey beyond the falls to reach the more isolated upper pools.
Mountain bikers can access a variety of exciting trails, with SanJo Bike Park being one of the premier destinations. Situated on the outskirts of San José del Cabo, the park features many miles of rugged mountain bike paths, organized into several loops suitable for both beginners and advanced riders.

The waters near the Baja Peninsula served as a hunting ground for the whaling industry in the 19th century. Fortunately, these magnificent creatures are now protected, allowing guests to witness the excitement of their annual migration from icy Arctic waters to the warm bays of Baja California Sur. The best months to see species such as gray and humpback whales are from January to March.
Beach explorations
Los Cabos’ beaches provide diverse activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and guided horseback riding. Places like Todos Santos and Costa Azul draw surfers of all levels. Due to strong currents, some beaches are unsafe for swimming. Medano Beach, a scenic sandy area with beachside restaurants, located in the center of Cabo San Lucas, remains the most favored swimming spot.
